​2022 sHOP WITH a cop
​    program was a 

         big success!

​​On December 15, 2022, Fremont Police Department hosted the 9th Annual Shop With A Cop Program. This program provides holiday assistance to low-income families that reside in Newaygo County. This year’s Shop With A Cop Program was an overwhelming success! We were able to partner 145 of the county’s less fortunate children with participating officers from the Fremont City Police, Grant City Police, Newaygo City Police, White Cloud City Police, Hesperia Police Department, Newaygo County Sheriff, and Michigan State Police – Hart Post and the Oceana County Sheriff. Each child was partnered with a uniformed police officer and taken on a Christmas shopping trip so that they could buy Christmas presents for themselves and their family. 

We would like to thank all the sponsors who have made this day possible for the last 10 years. Without the generous support from businesses and individuals, this program would not be possible. It's great to see how much a community can come together to make a program like this happen and be such a big success!!
