Fremont Community Joint Zoning Ordinance

About the Ordinance

The Fremont Community Joint Zoning Ordinance became effective at noon on Monday, January 7, 2013. The Joint Zoning Ordinance contains the regulations pertaining to planning and zoning for Dayton Township, Sheridan Charter Township and the City of Fremont.

Each of the planning commissions for the aforementioned municipalities were disbanded as of noon on January 7, 2013, and now the Fremont Community Joint Zoning Commission has binding authority over planning and zoning in the Fremont community, subject in certain instances to Board/Council approval. Each of the aforementioned municipalities' Zoning Boards of Appeals were also disbanded, and now there is 1 Joint Zoning Board of Appeals for the Fremont Community.

The current Fremont Community Joint Zoning Ordinance regulations are applicable in the City of Fremont, Dayton Township and Sheridan Charter Township.
