About Arboretum Park

Arboretum Park is a 7-acre natural area in the southeast quadrant of town is “a public park devoted to the many and fine native Michigan trees, shrubs and wildflowers…for teaching the student and for all those who find joy and peace with the beautiful things in nature,” said William J. Branstrom, the local attorney who donated the park’s land upon his death in 1964. The serene space is intended for passive uses and features benches, wandering paths and informal landscaping.

Weddings at Arboretum Park

The setting welcomes numerous wedding ceremonies at either bridge area in the park. To reserve your special date in our Park, complete the Arboretum Park Use Application (PDF) and submit it to the City Clerk.
